Makeover Facelift Project 05102
|

Here is the original house -- pretty plain, spindly 4X4 posts (slightly leaning), air conditioner in living room window. Almost non-existent landscaping except for overgrown holly bush and lilac vine. The porch header was sagged about 1 1/2 inches.
The objective: A Craftsman style facelift and improve the landscaping. |

In the spring, the canna at least served to help hide the plainness, the holly had become outrageous, but the wisteria, because of its seasonal beauty and aroma, was to be salvaged if at all possible. |

Phase 1: Construct tapered columns and cap/level the header with western red cedar.
Phase 2: Construct ramp from drive side, add landscaping behind ramp.
Phase 3: Construct porch railings (see details), relocate air conditioner, paint fascia, trim and railings. |
